FROM THE PASTOR

if only they were here

Had they not been here, I would have felt…
If only he/she/they were here, things may have been…

You’ve probably heard that said, or spoken, or thought these words yourself. Much similar is said say when a leader is absent during a crisis and something goes terribly wrong. It could be said when a family problem arises, and a family member’s presence and help is really needed, but he/she/they cannot be present; cannot be in two places at once.

If only “HE” were here – this is something that only those who trust in Jesus Christ need never say regarding him. Jesus died, but is no longer dead; he returned from the grave. Jesus appeared to many; Jesus ascended, and his disciples witnessed that, but Jesus is not gone. Though Jesus remains truly human, one of us, risen and glorified, Jesus is no longer bound by time and space. Jesus is fully able to be with those who rely on him, no matter how far and wide, or scattered they may be. Jesus keeps the promise he made when he said, "Where two or three come together in my name, I am there, with them".

The peace of the Lord be with you.

We Pray For:
† Christ to always be present among his people.
† All pastors, that they may exercise the ministry of forgiveness with compassion.
† Those in mental anguish and racked by doubt in themselves or in God.
† All Christians, who must give account of their faith; those who find no purpose in life.
† All who are wounded in body or soul.
